Description
An Art Nouveau style miniature glass vase.
We are fairly certain that this stunning miniature glass vase is from the hand of Moser, a stalwart of late 19th/early 20th century Bohemian glass making. It certainly bears many of his hallmarks, from the gilded, geometric designs to the delicately applied enamel flowers.
The glass is likely to be a blank from Harrach, but the decoration is all Moser’s own and very typical of the turn of the century European style. The glass itself is “faded” – not quite frosted but translucent and has an off-magenta hue. As a miniature, the detail and styling is exquisite and very complimentary for a bijoutery table or display cabinet.
Condition
This miniature vase bears some of the hallmarks of its age with slight rubbing to the gilding, however the glass and enamelling is in fine condition
