A very stylised art deco scent bottle with bags of character.
No matter how hard we’ve searched on this gorgeous art deco scent bottle, we cannot find the Lalique signature; sadly we have to concede that it looks like Lalique, feels like Lalique but is a very good homage to Lalique. Cast in pressed, frosted glass it bears so many of the hallmarks of the period with its wide generous body shape, scalloped kick base and chrome fittings.
The glass has an opalescent quality with a faint turquoise hue and is formed with a classical art scene possibly of Venus being attended by a floating cherub. The atomiser has a chrome collar and trapezoid head with a tube and puffer clad in an olive green silk and still puffs making this scent bottle still a very useable piece of art deco glassware
PLEASE NOTE: Photos may appear darker in order to show detail.
Despite its age this scent bottle is in fine fettle. The glass is intact and undamaged. The puffer/atomiser works though the silk is a little loose in places, the tube has lost its fastening collar and does slide off the mount but again is still useable.
