A classic and stylish boxed set of art deco period coffee/demitasse spoons. This set of silver coffee spoons is hallmarked for Sheffield 1939 and has a maker’s mark for Cooper Bros.
They come in their original retail box with leather cover, double clip clasp and cream silk lining. The box retains retailer’s signature (Jamieson and Carry, Aberdeen) to its interior. These are small spoons designed for demitasse coffee cups; they have small bowls and and straight, solid handles. The pattern is simple and elegant with squared end and no cut or chased design – still evocative of the art deco period and well suited to a modern home.
Items like this always make a classy and much appreciated wedding or house-warming gift.
The condition of this cutlery set is excellent. All spoons are undamaged with clear hallmarks and fit well in the box. The box shows very little sign of wear and is in good serviceable condition
